Mirror Imitations

Sometimes
I Stare into the mirror
Just to see if
I really am there.
If the world
Really does exist.
And I'm not just living
In a T.V. set.
To see if I'm
Really understanding language
Hearing sound
Tasting flavors
Feeling a light touch
Or having emotions.
To see if my heart
Is manipulating me
And not being manipulated
Itself.
But the mirror
Only gives back
The questions
I have asked.
